GAR probing mission failed

The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) was discovered to have sent a squad of Clones to scout Byss today. The Sith Imperial forces were swiftly aware of the infraction into their territory and rapidly dispatched the combatants with minimal losses.

Failed Mandalorian invasion of Byss

For those in distant parts of the Galaxy, the combined might of two Mandalorian Clans descended on Byss today and sought to take over a communications bunker, into which they barracaded themselves.

After a standoff of some two hours, they were finally rooted out and a battle raged on the planetary surface and above in the air. On the ground, Byss forces were utterly victorious, smashing the Mando'ade.

The only casualty was General C'Ore who after taking down two Verde in single combat flew his fighter alone against a heavily armed dropship. Despite killing the pilot of the vessel, the other occupants were able to turn the weaponry of the larger ship and incinerate the drive engines, sending him crashing down into the lavafields. Somehow, he has survived the crash and thanks to Darth Revanche is recovering in the medical center. He is expected to survive.

Byss

The planet of Byss is a Deep Core planet inhabited by the Dark Lords of the Sith (commonly known as DLotS). Legend has it that Emperor Palpatine, subsequently found to be Darth Sidious, the leader of the Sith Cult made the Sith presence for the first time on this planet. However, though his works were impressive, they were neither the the first constructions on the planet, nor indeed the most impressive or extensive.

Many decades ago, Darth Validus founded his Sith Empire on Palpatine's old fortress, but far outstripped his predecessor's constructions, turning this planet into the centre of the Dark Side, with all major Sith Orders being housed there. For reasons of his own, he chose to destroy the planet with the superguns on board his flagship, the "SSD Ravager" and disappear into the Unknown Regions for decades, leaving the Sith in disarray. Over time, one from his Order, Darth Destius, managed to commune with the great leader and in various stages, they revived the Dark Lords of the Sith and eventually returned to Byss, healing the planet enough to be built upon again. In their constructions, they uncovered old constructions, far far older than the ruins of Palpatine's era; clearly some ancient and mighty civilisation had once been based here in the far-distant past. Who they were, none can know but their secrets will be discovered in time. The new constructions by Darth Validus on Byss are more extensive and accomplished than even his previous ones, and there is no doubt that Byss will remain the centre of the Darkness for many years to come.
